The consultation is from February 5 to April 30. Any citizens or organization that desire to take part are welcome to contribute to the public consultation.

Public consultation: Objectives

REACH authorisation for the use of substances in low volumes

Concerning REACH authorisation application for low volumes, stakeholders are welcome to comment on the proposed scope, conditions and review periods.

The agency especially invites to question the required level of details for authorisation application in this particular case.

Nevertheless, it has to be reminded that requirements related to existing details in the REACH Authorisation Annexe I must be taken into account.

REACH authorisation for the use of legacy spare parts

Concerning legacy spare parts, stakeholders are invited to comment proposed definitions, scope but also to precise what substances listed in REACH Annexe XIV are used in the manufacture process of the spare parts.

Information to be included are the following: name of substances, description of articles and the approximate volume used in the spare parts manufactured.

Finally, a description of mixtures designed to repair and maintain articles no longer produce after the Sunset Date, is required along with information concerning usual time-length during which the spare parts are still manufactured to preserve the functionality of the articles.
