THE BIOCIDES CONSORTIUM - OPTIMISING YOUR COMPLIANCE

Do you use an active substance that is about to be approved at European level? To continue to market biocidal products containing this substance, you will have to submit or be covered by a Marketing Authorisation (MA) dossier.

To do this, you will have to anticipate. Putting together a MA dossier is a long (12 months minimum) and costly process. Joining or creating a consortium may be the solution for you. By joining a biocide consortium, you can submit a Marketing Authorisation application together and optimise your regulatory process.

To join an EcoMundo biocide consortium, there are 3 steps:

  • Step 1 (optional) : Subscribe to our newsletter via this
contact form to receive all regulatory news related to biocidal substances.
  • Step 2 : Complete this form to express your wish to join the consortium of the chosen active substance. If your profile is validated, our experts will carry out a preliminary cost study to join the consortium, as well as an analysis to confirm your eligibility to join a joint MA dossier. The cost of this step will of course be deducted from the cost of joining the consortium if you decide to validate your registration.
  • Step 3 : Communicate your decision to join the consortium to your EcoMundo referent.

THE BENEFITS OF THE CONSORTIUM

The advantages of joining a consortium are considerable:

  • reducing the costs of fees to the competent authorities
  • optimising testing costs
  • sharing the technical and regulatory work on the dossier
  • reducing the time needed to compile your dossier

Bonus :
EcoMundo experts are available to answer your questions, to explain the actions carried out and the progress made within the consortium
The confidentiality of your information is guaranteed
The entire process of creating and/or managing a biocides consortium is handled by EcoMundo
Interfacing with the other members of the consortium is ensured by our experts

THE MISSIONS OF THE CONSORTIUM

The objective of the consortium is to define the best strategy for the MA dossier for each member. The mode of operation of the consortium is based on the following key principles:

  • Conduct a specific study on each member's use in order to confirm the eligibility of the use for the grouping of a joint MA dossier, in line with ECHA's requirements for biocidal product families.
  • Offer a transparent and binding cost structure on the part of EcoMundo, as the consortium manager and responsible for the preparation of the MA dossiers.
  • Create and administer, especially in terms of confidentiality, a structure for data exchange between members
  • Optimise the MA budgets of each member, in particular to mutualise testing strategies, by a common approach and by family of biocidal products.

FOCUS: JOINING THE ADBAC/BKC AND DDAC CONSORTIUM AND/OR THE ACTIVE CHLORINE CONSORTIUM (ACPAC)

You use biocidal products containing ADBAC/BKC, DDAC and/or active chlorine?

These active substances will be approved during 2022. After the approval date, any biocidal product containing either of these substances will need to be covered by a Marketing Authorisation (MA) dossier in order to remain on the European market.

As a MA dossier can take up to 12 months to prepare, it is crucial to start the process as soon as possible.

Whether you are a producer, distributor and/or formulator, if you place biocidal products based on ADBAC/BKC or DDAC on the market, do not hesitate to ask to join our dedicated consortium via
this form !

Its aim is to propose to the actors involved in these types of products to submit a joint MA dossier, by favouring the grouping of companies having the same use, in order to mutualise the costs.
